My idea for presenting to camera is to have a section in a show about action sports. The section will include a bike check of a pro bmxers bike in each show. This will be me presenting myself and their bike to the camera while informing the audience of the set up their bike has. This will be me listing the parts on their bike while showing the audience the parts on the bike.
The types of show and platform my idea would be suitable for are: http://www.allisports.com/alli/skate/video/the-alli-show-skate-greg-lutzka This show documents the lives of athletes. My idea would fit into this show as people will be interested as to what part their bike has. There sponsors and the part companies will appreciate the courage and advertisement. http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b006v8fc Although this is a Ski show, I think my idea would work on a similar platform. Maybe a BMX version of the show or a bike version. http://thecomeup.com/ This BMX website would be a suitable platform for my show as it is a specific BMX website that shares BMX related videos daily.
http://rideukbmx.com/ Also this BMX website would be a suitable platform for my show as it is a specific BMX website that shares BMX related videos daily.
http://xgames.espn.go.com/ When X Games has BMX on, my idea could fit into the show as a way to present the athletes that are competing or they could do it as part of an interview for the show and their sponsors.
http://www.dewtour.com/actionsports/event/ion-breckenridge-mountain-championships-2013 Dew Tour could be a platform for my show. During intervals with the event the athletes could do a bike check for the watching audience.
Examples of what my cut away show idea is:
The equipment ill need to make the video is:
A camera, a lens, tripod, Mac, SD card, a bike and editing software.
For my presentation I want a brief script and idea on how to present, as well as having a lot of it being spontaneous. I shall introduce myself to the camera, explain that i’m going to be doing a bike check, I shall start to list the parts on the bike.
My video worked in the way I wanted it to work. It was informative and the audience knew what I was talking about as it was descriptive. The improvements i would make to if are these: I would look more directly into the camera to engage the audience, Id describe the purpose of the parts for watchers who aren’t aware of their use, Id get close ups of the parts, speak more clearly and add more of myself into it rather than drilling people with facts.
